In addition to the new DigiCert SSL Intermediate and Root CA configuration that ERCOT began requiring on May 1st, it will also implement an additional configuration change on the API handshake. Beginning May 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM CDT, all API communication from Market Participants into ERCOT’s production environment needs to be sent with a handshake-level, valid ERCOT issued Client Digital Certificate, and each message signed with a valid ERCOT issued Client Digital Certificate. Adapt2 has been tracking these changes and testing the impacts in ERCOT’s Market Operations Testing Environment (MOTE), and is working with customers to ensure the changes are ready in their respective environments.
